Khel, produced by actor Sunil Shetty's very own Popcorn Entertainment together with Galaxy Entertainment, is a fast paced action thriller which marks the directorial debut of well known editor Yusuf Khan and acting debut of cricketer Ajay Jadeja as an actor. The movie also features two of hottest action heroes in Bollywood: Sunny Deol and Sunil Shetty in central roles. Bollywood has previously witnessed the duo together in Rajkumar Kohli's "Qahar" and more recently Harry Baweja's "Karz". However this time model turned actress Celina Jaitley will also be sharing the silver screen as the female lead of this multi-starrer.

The story of Khel is woven around the friendship of two close men. Dev Mallya (Sunil Shetty) is a rich business tycoon who dreams about becoming one of the country's most successful businessmen. Rohan Poddar (Ajay Jadeja) is a 'happy-go-lucky' kind of simpleton who doesn't expect much from life. The differences between both people are extremely visible - from their attitudes towards life to their different economic status - however this doesn't alter their friendship. Rohan meets Sanjh Batra (Celina Jaitley) an interior designer and eventually they both fall in love with each other. Life for the lovebirds seems perfect until one day Rohan is suddenly arrested for murder! This leaves his girlfriend and best friend in extreme shock. The experience makes Dev and Sanjh share a personal bond and they become closer.

The story reaches a twist when a new police officer, Rajveer (Sunny Deol) takes charge of Rohan's case. The officer believes in innocent until proven guilty and during the investigation he starts thinking there is more to Rohan's case than meets the eye. A thrilling investigation then begins and Rajveer gets closer and closer to the shocking truth!

With a decent star cast and engaging storyline, Khel could surprise people at the box office as long as the final product is polished enough to entertain and thrill the audience. Whether its successful in this aim will only be known when the movie releases in August 2003.
