The Film: Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage
Starring: Hrithik Roshan and Amisha Patel
Director: Vikram Bhatt
Music: Rajesh Roshan
Score: 1/2

Let’s cut the crap and get to the point. This movie sucks and is a super flop. After the success of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai everyone had lot of expectation from this movie and felt that Hrithik and Amisha will excel once again. Unfortunately both the actor fails to create any kind of impact on a movie which lacks on all fronts.

Do you have enemies, try sending them a free ticket of this movie – your mission will accomplish.

Director Vikram Bhatt has done some good work with movies like Kasoor and Raaz, but when it comes to original work where he does not have to copy from Hollywood – he manages to give us something as weak as this.

Here is the story, if it really matters: an underworld don (Kiran Kumar) has a timid daughter (Amisha Patel) who dares to fall in love with an engineering student (Hrithik Roshan). The don and his foul-tempered son (Mukesh Tiwari) fly off the handle when they discover the affair. But the lovebirds take an eternity - the nine nights of the Navratras, to be precise - to articulate their feelings to each other, and once they are done with their sweet nothings, dumb charades, surreptitious terrace meetings and musical interludes, all hell breaks loose.

The Navratri scenes fail to create any kind of interest. Amisha will make you laugh when she cries; she is pathetic in this movie. Mukesh Tiwari is good in few scenes but over reacts in many scenes.

Our action man whenever beats the bad guys, they actually fly! Hrithik though could have done a better job, but the director has given him raw deal.

Being the first picture he signed, in this movie all he does is keep smiling and look like a horny guy chasing Amisha. He keeps dancing too like the kids in America danced way back in the 80s.

Musically little to expect, the background score is pathetic. In one of the scene they have lifted Yanni’s tune withouth even altering and one of the song’s tune is also lifted from a very popular Pop track from the 80s.

Stay away from this film.
