The Story: `Love You Hameesha' focuses on relationships and the strain caused on it by demanding careers. A subject that has earlier been tackled very sensitively before in `Abhimaan’.

The story is set in Rajasthan. Shaurat, (Akshaye Khanna) who lives there, works in a garage as a mechanic. He is quiet and shy guy by nature. He meets Shivani, (Sonali Bendre) who belongs to an affluent family and is mesmerized by her beauty, Shivani reciprocates, except that she is engaged to Samrat (Amitabh Nanda). Samrat is a spoiled, rich, obsessive and mad. Who unleashes his wrath when Shivani breaks her engagement with him after meeting Shaurat.

Samrat and his father harrass and chase the young couple out of town. Shaurat feels bitter about the fact that he had to run away from his home and his life because Samrat’s family was more powerful than his. He comes to the big city with a purpose – to make it big, at any cost. Show Business beckons. After a brief struggle the young man gets a break from filmmaker Ketan Desai’s ( playing himself) film but it comes with a string attached. Shaurat’s heroine, Meghna (Rhea Dev Verma), falls hard for him. What happens next.

Without giving away the story too much…The film is basically about two youngsters in the big city chasing their big dreams. In their quest to make it big in the world of modelling and cinema they make many compromises. The film explores the high and lows in their relationship they go through from the time they meet to the time they go about building their careers and when they finally become successful.

The Pluses: The film will appeal to the classes. It also have a very contemporary subject line. Unlike the usual family dramas revolving around shaadis and shehnais.. The music of the film is already a big hit. Kailash is regarded as one of the dynamic ad-walla who had his pulse on the concepts which go down well with the audience. His Bajaj and Liril and are some of the examples of his appealing and refreshing approach.

The Minuses: Akshaye Khanna is not the darling of the box-office. Also, none of the films released in recent times have done well. Including Kajol’s films, which always send the cash registers ringing. So with big films flooping all over the place there seems to be little hope for an Akshaye Khanna starrer.

Trivia: The film has been directed by ad man Kailash Surendranath, this is his film for the big screen. Kailash has been making ad films for the last 25 years and his product is always been top of the line. Sonali has worked with Kailash during her modeling days. The last film starring Akshaye and Sonali `Dahek’, was a dud. Moon Moon Sen’s daughter Rhea debuts in this film. Fashion Guru Rohit Bal is playing himself in the film, as Sonali’s mentor in the fashion world..
